I share various forms of Pranayama, breathing techniques from the yogic tradition throughout my work. Within yoga classes and also therapeutically in my counselling practise to help with calm, presence, anxiety reduction and energy. I also guide and facilitate Transformational Breath® both individually and in groups.
Transformational Breath® is a facilitated full-lung conscious connected breath technique based on evidence that we modify our breath patterns each time we suppress a feeling, repress a memory or do not express something authentic or important to us.
Using breath analysis, pressure points and affirmations, Transformational Breath® helps to encourage your breath into these blockages. It is a powerful technique and can bring about a multitude of experiences, from physical tingling and energetic shifts, to enlightening and emotional realisations and releases. It can even allow us experiences that feel greater than ourselves.

Breathwork sessions, groups and events
A 1:1 Transformational Breath® session consists of setting an intention in a brief pre-discussion, followed by between 20 and 40 minutes of full diaphragmatic breathing. During this time I use coaching, pressure points and affirmations to encourage breath more fully into the lungs, particularly where there are blockages.
You will also be invited to make sound and movements to release built-up energy or to bring more energy to the breath. It ends with between 5 and 15 minutes of relaxation for the above to be integrated.
The purpose of all of this is to encourage breath into the parts of our lungs that we generally avoid breathing into so as not to experience certain feelings or memories (sometimes all the way from birth). Suppressing and repressing feelings and memories uses a lot of energy and can limit our potential for experiencing life joyfully. Using this technique we are allowing the possibility for these blockages to be released safely.
1:1 Transformational Breath® sessions have great benefits both as a standalone thing, and as a way to compliment counselling.

Get in touchA Transformational Breath® group session consists of setting an intention, some embodied movement to increase breath and energy followed by around 40 mins of diaphragmatic breathing with coaching and pressing on pressure points with affirmations. The use of intermittent toning sounds with arm and leg movement is also encouraged to release built up energy or emotion, or to increase energy in the breath. During this time we may change people’s positions to encourage breathing into all parts of the lungs.
Suppressing feelings and memories uses a lot of energy and can limit our potential for experiencing and enjoying life fully. In our Transformational Breath® sessions, by continuously breathing in a connected way without pause, using mainly the diaphragm muscle and relaxing the exhale, we are allowing the potential for those feelings and blockages to be released safely.
The breath session itself ends with around 10 mins of more relaxed breathing for the above to be integrated.
After the session we allow time for discussion, sharing and questions.
