Many of us are in discomfort; mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, or even all of the above.  Finding meaning and purpose in these times can be more difficult with our attention scattered, with endless possibilities for comparison and expectation in our society, and with unsociable media.

Many of our minds and bodies have become uncomfortable places for us to be in.  Critical thoughts can be disabling, shame and anxiety alienating, anger damaging for our health and relationships, and depression difficult to lift.  Our attention, whether we have a diagnosis or not, is becoming ever-more challenged with the bombardment of stimulation and perpetuation of fear.

How I Work

I work in a way that I would like a therapist to work with me; with kindness, compassion, honesty, insight and with tools of transformation which have been practised, studied and refined over years.

I know that all of us humans can have lives infused with meaning, value and purpose.  To communicate with ourselves and others in an open, kind and clear way.  To have the resilience to face our lives and our own thoughts with discernment and honesty – free of the burden of shame and anxiety.

Therapeutically I work with many different methodologies and philosophies (detailed below).  Predominantly though, I hold an encouraging, supportive, non-judgemental and caring space.  I work with you to build a relationship within which we can explore the parts of you that may currently seem unlovable, or even that may have been as yet hidden.  I help you to hear, understand and integrate these parts of yourself to help you to live in a more full and harmonious way.

Methodologies and philosophies: Psychosynthesis – transpersonal psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ACT, Brain Working Recursive Therapy – BWRT, Focusing, Adlerian philosophy, yoga and breathwork.
